Charles Xavier Lerma

Charles Xavier Lerma, age 48, of Edwardsburg, Michigan passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  Charles was born on January 31, 1973 in Indio, California to Eutiquio Javier and Blanche Lerma.

Charles worked as a welder for MORryde International. He enjoyed playing music, he was very talented at playing the guitar, drums and the keyboard. He was great at skate boarding and beating his sister at Jeopardy. He was a very talented artist, he enjoyed painting and drawing, even making a self-portrait of his family. His true love was spending time with his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his father Eutiquio Javier Lerma, his children Jordan Danee Lantry Lerma, Kai Alden Lantry Hoffman Lerma and Kadyn Daniel Lantry Hoffman Lerma; his siblings Adrian Keith Lerma, Martina (Alfredo) Melendez and Miracle Gutierrez; nieces and nephews Alfredo Melendez III, Chris Melendez, Brandon Melendez, Bradley Melendez and Breanna Melendez; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his mom, Blanche Lerma in 2004 and his niece Amaris Bernice Melendez on October 12, 1996.

Funeral services for Charles will be at 2pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where visitation will be held from 12-2 pm. Pastor Frank Maeda will be officiating.
