Kenneth Donald “Junior” Lingofelter, 83 of Bristol, IN passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2024 at Goshen Hospital. Kenny was born on July 28, 1940 in Warsaw, IN to Lawrence Donald and Ruby Lingofelter. He married Sandra Gilliland on July 10, 1976 in Bristol, IN.

Kenny honorable served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a custodian for the Goshen Moose for over 26 years and Elkhart County Parks Department for over 9 years. He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Bristol from 1965-1995. He enjoyed crocheting, knitting and going to craft shows. He was always up for a game of scrabble or putting a puzzle together. He and his wife Sandra were named Citizen of the Year in the Town of Bristol in 2010. Kenny had a heart of “Gold” and would do anything for anyone. He loved to spend time with his friends and family.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 47 years Sandra Lingofelter; children Robert (Susan) Lingofelter of White Pigeon, MI., Rosina Lingofelter Faught of Bristol, IN and Rodney (Linda Pecher) Lingofelter of Elkhart, IN ; grandchildren Michael Lingofelter, Ashley Lingofelter, Brandie Lingofelter, Ryan Studebaker, Carrie Faught, Jacob Faught and  Lucindá Lingofelter; great-grandchildren Alexis Faught, Michael Leighton and baby Faught; his sister Judy Pease of Dunlap, IN; 2 nieces and one nephew and several great-nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Ruth Ann Reed, whom he was married to for over 14 years. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Ruby Lingofelter and his brother-in-law Jack “John” Pease.

Visitation will be from 11am- 1pm on Monday March 18, 2024 at Bristol Community Church, 201 South Division Street, Bristol, IN 46507 where funeral services will be at 1pm. Pastor Gary Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Fire Department, 405 East Elkhart Street, Bristol, IN 46507.
