Linda Lee Whelchel

Linda Lee Whelchel, age 63, of Bristol passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 26, 1958 to Stanley and Martha Stryjewski in Chicago, IL. She married Thomas “Dan” Whelchel on May 13, 1995 in Lansing, IL he preceded her in death in 2009.

Linda formerly worked at Wheelchair Help in Elkhart. She was a member of Living Stone Christian Fellowship in Middlebury. She enjoyed shopping, reading and a good book and going out for a good meal. She loved spending time with her family and her friends.

Linda is survived by her children, Zachary (Bekah) Whelchel of Muncie, Matthew Whelchel of Elkhart, Tom (Kyungsun) Whelchel, Angie (Marat) Kegan, Eric (Chrissy) Whelchel and Katherine (James) Thompson; 12 grandchildren; her siblings, Karen Stone and John Brugh, Michael (Pat) Stryjewski, Dennis Stryjewski and Mark (Chris) Stryjewski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Jerry Stryjewski.

Friends may visit from 4-8 pm on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the funeral home where friends may visit one hour before the funeral service. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol.
