Marion Ehrhardt, age 92, of Elkhart, IN, formerly of Venice, Florida, went into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Marion was born on May 26, 1929 to William and Mildred Campbell in New York, NY. She married Francis W. Ehrhardt on January 30, 1955 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2015.
Marion met her husband 68 years ago while at Sunshine Acres Camp where they volunteered for over 50 years. She and her husband lived in Florida for 23 years after retirement. She moved to Hubbard Hill Estates in 2016, and most recently she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed music and playing dominoes and Scrabble. She loved the Lord and her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She wanted everyone to know that Jesus changed her life. (John 3:16)
Marion is survived by her children David (Brenda) Ehrhardt of Burlington, KY, Joyce (John) Forsberg of Fayetteville, GA, Janice (Stephen) Verace of Elkhart and Lynne (Larry) Best of Coppell, TX; grandchildren Jennifer (Jonathan) Broome, Michael (Brooke) Forsberg, Brian Forsberg, Daniel Forsberg, Kathryn Forsberg, Grace Forsberg, Jaimie Forsberg, Katelyn (Jonathan) Estes, Joel Ehrhardt and Megan (Michael) Grosso; great grandchildren Bethany, Anna, Nate, Aliyah, Curtis-John, Micah, Anorah, and Silas; her siblings Kenneth (Joan) Campbell of Hilton Head Island, SC., and Robert Campbell of Palm Harbor, FL. Marion was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred, her husband Francis, her siblings William Campbell and Arlene Fox and great-granddaughter Selah.
We thank all her caregivers that she had over the last few years. She appreciated all of you. And special thanks to Cindy Reynolds, her primary caregiver for the last 7-1/2 months. You were a gift to her and to us, bringing sunshine, laughter and amazing care every time you were with her. We will be forever grateful.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Visitation will be one hour before services (2 pm) at the funeral home. Burial will be at 9:30 am on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
