Nicholas "Nick" Woods

Nicholas Wayne Woods, 45, of Elkhart passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart. Nick was born on January 15, 1978 to David Lee and Vicky Woods. He married the love of his life Daleanne Laws on May 25, 2014 at Morris Estates in Niles, MI.

Nick graduated from Jimtown High School, class of 1996. He earned his master’s degree in accounting at Ball State University. He worked at Insight Accounting in Goshen and Mishawaka. He enjoyed playing his guitar and playing video games with his 6-year-old son Liam. He enjoyed watching his 8-year-old daughter, Piper dance and he enjoyed coloring with her. When something needed to be fixed or repaired, Nick was always there to help. Nick loved to spend time with his family and his friends, especially his children.

Nick is survived by his wife, Daleanne Woods; their children Piper and Liam Woods both at home; his mother Vicky ( John )Crothers of  Vandalia, MI, his father David  ( Shawn )Woods of Elkhart, IN  ; his siblings Crystal (Jack) Kiefer of Elkhart, Delaney Waters of Elkhart, Brittany (Mike) Garver of Elkhart and Katie Crothers of Edwardsburg, MI., along with several nieces, nephews and cousins and his best friend Kent Hovarter of Elkhart.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Friday June 30, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 7 pm where Nicolas Montgomery who married Nick and Daleanne 9 years ago will officiate.
