Aletha Roberts

Aletha (Ermal) Roberts, 84 of Edwardsburg, MI. died July 9, 2011 @ 12:40 PM at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on August 18, 1926 in McCook, NE. to Virgil E. and Sylvia Aletha (Dinnell) Martin. She married Fred Roberts on Aug. 16, 1969 in Bremen, IN.

He survives along with two sons; Donald (Patricia) and Michael (Diana) Smead both of Elkhart, a stepson, Michael (LaDonna) Roberts of Frankfort, IN., three daughters; Sylvia Alg of Elkhart, Denene Roberts of Crete, IL. and Michelle (David) Wilson of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming along with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James E. Smead, a sister, Vera E. Terry and a brother Charles E. Martin.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing where services will be held 10 AM Wednesday. Reverend Dale Turner will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and member of Northwest Community Church. She loved to knit and crotchet. He many passions included pets, NASCAR and the Chicago Cubs.
