Alfred H. Lichtenberger

Alfred H. Lichtenberger, 88, of 2400 College Avenue, Goshen passed away April 14, 2008 at Courtyard Healthcare Center.

He was born June 24, 1919 in Elkhart to Edward and Katie (Orser) Lichtenberger and married Charlene Baylor on November 5, 1938. She died on December 27, 1989. Surviving are 2 sons, James (Peggy) Lichtenberger of Middlebury and Steven (Etta) Lichtenberger of Maysville, KY; One daughter, Jill (Jim) Ferres of Terre Haute, IN; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.

Mr. Lichtenberger was a retired executive for 50 years in the manufactured housing industry. He was a WWII veteran of the Army-Air Corps, and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Goshen and a 40 years member of the Elk's Lodge in Elkhart.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 25, 2008 at Prairie Street Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
