Alice J. DeMaegd

Alice J. DeMaegd, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday evening March 31 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkhart.
She was born March 8, 1935 in Elkhart to Dean and Hilder (Carlson) Ferm.

On November 29, 1958 in Elkhart she married Robert DeMaegd who survives along with a brother Alfred Ferm of St. Petersburg, FL, a step-brother Richard (Garnet) Campbell of Nappanee, IN, nieces and nephews: Sheila, Judith, Lana, Michael, Bill, Carl, Lisa, Cindy, Kevin and Jeffery. She was preceded in death by Sisters: Helen, Marie, Joann and Dorothy.

Alice graduated from Elkhart High School Class of 1953.
She was a Lab Technician for Martin Marietta Company in St. Petersburg, FL for 23 years and worked for CTS in Elkhart for 16 years. She loved craftwork, gardening, flowers and her family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where services will be held at 11am Friday with Pastor Lewis J. Clifton presiding.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
