Alice Ann Martin

Alice Ann Martin, 86 of Bristol, passed away on September 20, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus, Elkhart, IN. She was born May 18, 1938, in Elkhart to George K. and Margaret A. (Williams) Schuler. She married her High School sweetheart, William F. Martin on June 8, 1957, in Elkhart. 

Alice is survived by her children, daughters, Marianne (Mike) Johnson of Bristol, IN, Marcia (Bill) Haut of Noblesville, IN, Michelle (Rick) DeLeon of Bristol, and son Robert (Amy) Martin of Bristol; Grandchildren, Matthew (Radi) Johnson, Megan (Nathan) Clark, Mitch (Lindsey) Johnson, David Haut, Jillian (Evan) Wise, Lauren Fioritto, Kristen (Ben) Miller, Mackenzie Martin, and William Martin. Great-grandchildren, Piper Johnson, Theo Johnson, Mary Clark, Nolan Clark, Niles Clark, Mateo Johnson, Jackson Wise, and Palmer Wise. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 57 Years, William Martin.

Alice graduated from Elkhart High School, Class of 1956. She went on to work at Miles Laboratory, CTS, and the City of Elkhart before her retirement. She was a charter member of Alpha Pi Chapter of Beta Chi Sorority. Alice was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church.

Alice was loved by all and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was always there for the sporting or musical events her children participated in and enjoyed cheering for her favorite teams, the Elkhart Blue Blazers and Purdue Boilermakers. Alice spent her free time volunteering, boating, traveling, spending time at the lake, and making memories with her family. She especially enjoyed spending winter months in Port Charlotte, Florida. She moved to Greenleaf Assisted Living in Elkhart in 2014 and loved her Greenleaf friends and staff greatly.
