Allen M. Bain

Allen M. Bain, 66, of Elkhart, died at 9 am February 24, 2010 at his home.

He was born February 25, 1943 in Wayland, Iowa to Dale and Rosa (Davison) Bain and married Joanna S. Bosworth on July 30, 1966 in Elkhart. She survives along with 2 sons, Randy Bain and Kevin Bain both of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 2 brothers, LeRoy (Janet) Bain of Iowa City, IA and Larry (Janice) Bain of Kenosha, WI. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy Bain and 2 sisters, Donna Mueller and Dorothy Bain.

Mr. Bain was a security guard for Carpenter and Company, Elkhart for 16 years. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, where services will be held Monday at 3 pm. Pastor Craig Brown of Highland Park Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow services.
