Angela Joan “Angie” Holdread, 46 of Elkhart, passed away September 7, 2012 at University Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born May 22, 1966 in South Bend to Joseph H. and JoAnne (Kollar) Carrico and married Thomas R. Holdread on July 26, 1986 in Granger. He survives with a son, Collin of Elkhart, her mother and step-father, JoAnne and Bill Duncan of Elkhart and her father and stepmother, Joseph and Linda Carrico of Castle Rock, CO and a brother, Mark (Julie) Carrico of Ft. Wayne.
Angie retired after 15 years due to her health as a postal carrier for the Granger Post Office. She previously was a receptionist for Animal Care Clinic North and was a hair stylist for the Mane Event in Elkhart. She graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend and Vogue Beauty College. She was a member of Granger Community Church and was the first recipient of the Hello Gorgeous Award at Fix Salon in Elkhart. She furthered the cause by becoming an ambassador for all future recipients. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister and a devoted friend to many. Visitation for Angie will be from 4-8 pm Friday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where a memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday. Cremation has taken place.
