Ann T. Lyons

Ann T. Lyons, 82 of Elkhart, died July 6, 2011, at 10 AM at home. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Ann (Breslin) Cassidy. She married Thomas F. Lyons on May 3, 1952 in Bronx, NY. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Maureen Cook of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Kellie Lyons of St. Louis, Missouri and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shawna Cook and a sister, Laura Gunther.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Friday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday with visitation a half-hour prior at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with the Reverend Glenn Kohrman officiating.

Mrs. Lyons attended Long Island University studying communication. She worked for the Osolo Township Trustee’s office since 2001. Prior to that she worked at Stephenson’s in sales for 5 years and Hudson Medical Group. She was a member of St. Vincent’s Catholic Church. She loved her family, good friends, animals and enjoyed singing. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
