Anna M. Warstler

Anna Marie Warstler’s long good-bye to family and friends ended on Dec. 31, 2012 when her last wish was granted, “Iwant to be with Jesus.”Anna, 87, was born on Sept. 27, 1925 in Elkhart, IN. to John and Marie (Helbling) Reiner. She married
Richard L. Warstler on Oct. 5, 1946 in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Tom) Hudson of Streetsboro, OH. and Christine (Roger) Niccum of Elkhart, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A brother, Carl Reiner preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4-7 Friday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church, Elkhart with Pastor Joe from Southern Care Hospice officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Mrs. Warstler was assistant manager for Concord High School Cafeteria for 22 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. John’s UCC where she was a member of their choir and Kouples Plus Club and a S.S. teacher. She loved gardening, reading, baking and her grandchildren. She was a 1943 graduate of Concord High School. Memorial contributions may be given to the family which will be donated to the local Southern Care Hospice or St. John’s UCC.
