Annette J. Weaver

Annette J. Weaver, 49, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was born July 24, 1962 in Elkhart to Peter M. and Nancy (Hebel) Hopman. She married Gary G. Weaver on October 25, 1986 in Elkhart.

He survives along with a son Alexander Weaver and a daughter Kelsey Weaver, both at home; her mother and stepfather Nancy Hopman and Robert Postma of Elkhart; a sister Susan (Mark) Stull of Oak Ridge, NC and 2 nephews Payton and Carson Stull. She was preceded in death by her father and brother Ronald Hopman.

A graduate of Concord High School in 1980, Annette worked as a paralegal at Warrick and Boyn, LLP in Elkhart, and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She was involved in Girl Scouts and the Elite Sports Academy in South Bend with her daughter, and was a loving mother.

Friends may visit the family Monday from 3:30 to 7:30 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where a vigil service will be at 4 pm Monday. Visitation will also be a half hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery.
