Arlene D. Scheidler

Arlene D. Scheidler, 95 of Elkhart, passed away July 30, 2014 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 17, 1918 in Elkhart to Roy G. and Gaynell (Salmon) Wallin. She married Albert H. Glenn in 1938. He died in 1960. She then married Earl Scheidler in 1965. He died in 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Sueann (Richard) Trowbridge of Elkhart, stepchildren, Jill (John) Davis of Pekin, IL and Jim Scheidler of Watseka, IL; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lamar (Wanda) Wallin and Ron (Sandra) Wallin both of Elkhart and a sister, Gay Campanello of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Massing, 2 brothers, Arden and Roy Wallin and 4 sisters, Rose Stump-Rowe, Jeaneane Robison, Jeanette Sherman and Loureen Torok.

Arlene was a production worker for C.G. Conn and Whitehall Laboratories. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, was past president of the VFW# 88 Auxiliary, member of the Elkhart Women of the Moose and was an avid golfer at Old Orchard Golf Course.

Visitation for Arlene will be 2 hours prior to the 12 pm Noon service on Saturday, Aug. 2nd at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Dicken will officiate. Burial will follow at Adamsville Cemetery.
