Arvilla M. Weyant

Arvilla M. Weyant, 74, of Elkhart, died at 6:00 am, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Riverside Village in Elkhart. She was born February 14, 1935 in Elkhart to Joseph B. and Phyllis M. (Menges) Wise. On August 29, 1959 she married Romer G. Weyant. He died March 2, 1981.

She is survived by a daughter Peggy (Kenneth) Greathouse of Homestead, FL; a son David Weyant of Elkhart; a cousin Glenda (Donald) Sheets of Goshen; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister Carolyn Volstead of Elkhart. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Clifford Wise.

Mrs. Weyant was a retired hairdresser who attended Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship. She loved to crochet, play bingo and was a fan of Elvis Presley.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2:00 pm funeral service Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart. Rev. Russell Jensen of Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship will officiate. Burial will be at Yellow Creek Cemetery.
