Austin R. Owens

Austin R. “Bubba” Owens, 23, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday August 20, 2017. He was born on October 21, 1993 in Goshen to Charles and Lisa (Morrison) Owens.

He is survived by his parents, Charles and Lisa of Bristol;2 Sisters: Chelsea (Marcus) Reeves of Fountain, CO and Haely (Doug Shaffer) Owens of Bristol; Nieces and nephews: Rayna Owens, Trae, M.J. and Kam Reeves, Hoyt and Case Shaffer; Grandparents: Joan King and Marie Owens, both of Bristol, IN, Dave (Donna) Morrison of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by both grandfathers, Willard “Bill” Owens and James “J.C.” King.

Austin was employed at Jayco in Middlebury for the last two years. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Post #143. He loved fishing, kayaking, riding his motorcycle and his dog, Gunner.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-3 & 5-8 Thursday August 24, 2017 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to the Funeral Service on Friday at 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor John Hogsett will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol, IN.
