Barbara Bentzer

Barbara Bentzer, 82 of Elkhart passed away March 19, 2013 at the Hospice House of Elkhart.

She was born April 1, 1930 in Yugoslavia to George and Victoria (Dort) Simon. She married Friedrich Bentzer on December 8, 1951 in Austria. He survives with a son, Karl (Debbie) Bentzer of Edwardsburg, MI; 2 grandsons, Jason (Glenyce) Bentzer of Edwardsburg, MI and Ryan (Heidi) Bentzer of Elkhart; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, and Lila; 1 brother, Alex Simon of Bristol and 2 sisters, Julia of Germany and Catherine of Brazil. 3 brothers preceded in death.

Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing at Garver Lake. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and burial will be at Rice Cemetery at a later date.
