Benard Deroeck Stoll

Benard Deroeck Stoll, 13, of Bristol was born July 14, 2002 in South Bend, IN, and passed from this life to fullness of life in the arms of Jesus early Sunday morning, July 3, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. “Ben” leaves behind many friends and a large family, beginning with his birth parents, Benard Sr, and Lisa Deroeck of Mishawaka, along with his adoptive parents Dale and Gwendolyn Stoll of Bristol. Grandparents include Robert Deroeck, Eugene and Rebecca Yoder, and Donald Godlove.
His birth siblings include Kevin, Samantha, Glen, and Lindsey Deroeck and Marie Deroeck Wuntuk. His adoptive siblings include Andy (Sherry) Stoll, Amy (Doug) Gardner, Jon (Kesha) Stoll, Destinee Stoll and Christian Stoll. Two special foster sisters are Trenna Fry and LaKresha Thomas. Others include aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Other people very special to Ben were all the special education teachers, therapists, aides, bus drivers and others associated with the Elkhart Community Schools where Ben was a special education student. Ben loved everything about school. His favorite song was “The Wheels on the Bus” and his favorite toy was a school bus. Ben was born with a number of physical issues and throughout his life had many special physicians, therapists, nurses, aides and others who helped care for him.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Tri Lakes Community Church, Bristol, IN. A Celebration of Ben’s Life will be Thursday morning at 10:30 am at the church. Friends and family are also invited to the burial which will take place prior at Trout Creek Cemetery, Bristol, IN. We will process from the church starting at 9:30. Officiating will be Pastors Doreen Mast, Luke Wagoner, and Ben’s father, Dale Stoll.

Memorials may be made to The Therapy Playce, a special place in Ben’s life.
