Betty L. Beers

Betty L. Beers,78 of Hubbard Hill Estates died February 7, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.She was born on August 29, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana to Clarence R. and Bernitta E. (Wilhelm) Troup.She married Lewis H. Beers on April 19, 1952 in Elkhart.He preceded her in death on September 25, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters; Anita (Edward) Windbigler of Goshen, Indiana and Judy Garver of Elkhart, four sons; David of Oakland, California, Mark (Alta) Beers of Bristol, Indiana, James of Elkhart and Kent (Rose) of Millersburg, Indiana, six grandchildren, four step grandchldren and one great grandchild and a brother, Richard (Shirley) Troup of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart and also one hour prior to services which will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Northside Church of the Nazarene, 53569 County Road 7 North, Elkhart with the Reverend Lane Fosnaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Mrs. Beers worked for the Elkhart Truth for 30 years in delivery.She was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene.She loved jig-saw puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County, Hubbard Hill Estates or the Northside Church of the Nazarene.
