Betty Lou Bryant, 94, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Betty Lou was born on September 26, 1928 to Herbert and Ruby Morgan in Warsaw, IN. She married the love of her life Charles Bryant on September 10, 1950 in Warsaw, he preceded her in death on January 10, 1987.

Betty graduated valedictorian from Warsaw High School class of 1946. She had a wonderful career as a master seamstress where she owned Bryant Draperies in Elkhart. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Goshen where she served on several women’s clubs and in the fall enjoyed making peanut brittle. She was an avid bridge player and she enjoyed painting. Truly her favorite time was spent with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her daughters Margaret Taylor of Mishawaka, IN., Elaine Zmudzinski of Elkhart, Kay Vicsek of Mishawaka and Jane (Brian) Conwell of Bristol, IN; 9 grandchildren Stacy (Jeff) Cook, Carrie (Brian) Pickering, Kelly Taylor, Lisa (Kyle) Anderson, Erica (Jason) Speraw, Alex (Cassie) Vicsek, Amy (Joel) Szakaly, Lace (Andrew) Harrison and Paige (Jeff) Walters; 19 great-grandchildren and her care giver Jennette Holdread. Betty Lou was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Ruby Morgan, husband Charles, sisters Phyllis Bloomfield and Beverly Leedy and son-in-law Edward Vicsek.

Visitation will be 2-6 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 CR 18, Goshen, IN 46528 where visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Pastor John Hoggsett will officiate. Burial will be private at Rice Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Caner Society www.donate3.cancer.org  or the American Heart Association www.heart.org Online condolences may be made to the Bryant family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com The family would like to send a heartfelt “Thank you” to the caring staff at Creekside Village in Mishawaka for the love and care that they gave to Betty.
