Betty A. Divietro

Betty A. Divietro, 85, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away April 26, 2008 at the Golden Living Center, Elkhart.

She was born March 18, 1923 in Peru, Indiana to Roy and Dorothea (Cook) McElwee and married Roy Atkinson in 1942. He died in 1952. She married Joseph Divietro in 1957. He died in 1988. Surviving are a sister, June Sherland and a brother Robert (Judy) Atkinson both of Goshen. She was preceded in death by a sister Maxine Guy and a brother, Donald McElwee.

Mrs. Divietro retired from C.T.S. Corporation in production after 40 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose #73 Elkhart and the D.A.V. #19 Auxillary.

Friends may call an hour prior to the 4;30 pm memorial service on Wednesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Reverend Brian Cray of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
