Betty Jane Louiseau, age 79, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was born on January 15, 1943 in Elkhart to Harry and Esther Scheuer. Betty married the love of her life Loren Louiseau on January 18, 1975 at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Elkhart, IN.
Betty worked for the former Miles Federal Credit Union as a loan supervisor and for Mid-Coast Mortgage, where she was co-owner. She enjoyed reading, fashion, decorating, shopping (especially QVC) and watching the hallmark channel. Betty loves entertaining especially for the Christmas Holiday. During gift opening, she often reminded family that, “That’s what they’re wearing this year.” However, we still don’t know who “they” are. He favorite time of all was spending it with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband of 47 years, Loren; their children Angie Divietro of Clearwater, FL., Matthew Louiseau of Elkhart and Kathleen (Neil) McCaskill of Elkhart; her grandchildren Keenan McCaskill, Brandon McCaskill, Lauren McCaskill, Alex Divietro and Johnathan (Megan) Divietro. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Esther, her brother Robert Scheuer and her sister Kate Rose.
A memorial mass will be held on at 11am Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1331 North Main Street, Elkhart, IN 46514. Where visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Fr. Jason Freiburger will officiate.
