Betty Jean Rogers

Betty Jean Rogers, 80, of Elkhart, IN passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2025. Betty was born on September 5, 1944, to Robert and Frances Buckland in Crab Orchard, West Virginia.

Betty spent her free time putting together puzzles, visiting with family and playing an all-time favorite game of Euchre. Betty also enjoyed dogs, birds, and ice cream. Her favorite show to watch was Heartland. Betty was proud to be a believer and a Christian as well.

Betty is survived by daughters; Ronda Bryant of Elkhart, IN., Darla Hafer of WA; Patty (Tim) Thompson of Elkhart, IN., Carol Henderson of Ft. Wayne, IN. and Ruby Aileen Rucker of KY. Betty is also survived by her sister Lola (Paul) Horvath of South Bend, IN; grandchildren Derek (Taylor) Bryant, Ross Bryant, Gracelyn Thompson, Megan Thompson, Marie Hafer, Christian Barney, and Sharika Shree. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Buckland and grandchildren Arianna Henderson and Michael Henderson. Betty will be dearly missed by all those that loved her.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Dennis Ulrey officiating. She will be laid to rest at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
