Beverly A. Cone

Beverly A. Cone, 93, of Elkhart, died at 7:06 am, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born April 23, 1918 in Elkhart to Merlin and Olive (Shuart) Gilbert and married Wayne A. Cone on Jan. 1, 1942 in Elkhart. He died April 6, 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Dara C. Cone of Elkhart; Sister-in-law, Colleen (William) Stockdale of Elkhart; and nephews, Michael and Douglas Stockdale, Stephen (Dina) Gilbert and David Robert (Bernice) Gilbert. A brother Robert Gilbert preceded in death.

Mrs. Cone graduated from Elkhart High School in 1936 and was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday. Fr. Daniel Repp of St. John’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
