Billy Franklin Lemons, Sr.

Billy Franklin Lemons, Sr., 80, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Friday July 12, 2024 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Billy was born on March 11, 1944 to Dewey and Modean Lemons in Manchester, TN. In 1984 he married Doris Ann Griffin.

Billy is survived by his son Billy Lemons Jr. of Elkhart, IN., stepsons Shannon (Christina) Hicks of Elkhart, IN., and Teddy (Staci) Lemons of Florida; sisters Sally Williams of Elkhart, IN and Betty (William) Becraft of Elkhart, IN 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; and the mother of his sons, Theresa Hudnall of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Modean Lemons, wife Doris Lemons and his sons Johnny Lemons and Randy Lemons.

Billy worked at Lil Cat RV as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He was formerly a member of the Willowdale Church of Christ in Elkhart, IN.

Visitation will be from 10 am – 12 pm on Thursday July 18, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 12 pm .
