Bonnie J. Hoover

Bonnie J. Hoover,79 of Elkhart, Indiana died May 3, 2009 @ 4:28 P.M. at Elkhart Hospice House. She was born on July 17, 1929 in Bristol, Indiana to Frank I. and Martha M. (Sala) Hoover.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Berger of Elkhart; two nieces, Cindy (Richard) Mills and Diana Hoover both of Elkhart; two great nieces and one great nephew. A brother, Max Hoover preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday.
Reverend Shannon Bishop of the Elkhart Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Ms. Hoover worked for C.G. Conn for many years and retired from Miles Laboratories in 1993 after 32 years as an inspector. She was a member of the Elkhart Church of God, Women of the Moose Lodge, Elkhart and the United Steel Workers union. Her interests included woodworking and carving, clay sculpting, boating, camping, mushroom hunting, traveling and getting lost, animals, crafts, Indian beadwork, crocheting, knitting, macramé, bowling, fishing, artistry and garage sales.

Memorial contributions may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc.
