Brian Charles Daub, age 57, of Elkhart, IN, passed away on February 4, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born on July 21, 1964 in Goshen, IN to Charles and Patricia Daub. Brian graduated from Concord High School in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Gruver) Daub of 25 years, his three children, Alicia (Wendell) Bontrager, Jessica (Austin) Mills, and Jordan Daub, his parents Charles T. and Patricia Daub, brother Kevin (Lynne) Daub, sister Kari (Scott) DeShone, grandchildren Gatlin, Sawyer, and Elena Bontrager. Brian will also be missed by his dog Sophie, and cats Tig, Stormy, and Tivali. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence and Rose McClane and Charles and Kathlyn Daub.
In 1995, after suffering from type 1 diabetes for most of his life, he was fortunate to receive a kidney and pancreas transplant, which he had benefited from for the past 27 years. Although being immunocompromised put limitations on him, it did not keep him from living a full life. Brian was so proud of all three of his kids and all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed building computer gaming systems for himself and his son, and watching the Sci-Fi channel every night. He especially enjoyed his frequent trips for his plain cheeseburgers and crispy french fries. If they weren’t crispy, they weren’t eaten! Most of them passed the pinch test!
