Brian F. Konarski

Brian F. Konarski, 63 of Elkhart passed away April 16, 2018 in his home. He was born August 10, 1954 in Gary, IN to Frank and Delores (Gushrowski) Konarski. He married Lynda K. Kloth on Oct. 13, 1979 in Merrillville. She died on March 27, 2008. Surviving are 2 sons, Brett Konarski of Mishawaka and Kyle Konarski of Noblesville and 2 daughters, Christa ( John) Sweezy of Indianapolis and Kara (Matt) Polston of Carmel; 2 grandchildren, Caroline Sweezy and Jensen Polston; 2 brothers, Dave Konarski of Detroit, MI and Danny Konarski of Hobart, IN and a sister, Debbie (Dave) Hutnick of Westville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jackie Hecimovich.

Brian graduated from Merrillville High School in 1972 and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ball State University. He retired as Quality Engineer from Actia Inc. and had previously worked for Siemens Continental and C.T.S. Corporation. Brian was an avid Chicago Bears and Blackhawks fan and loved coaching, fishing and golfing.

Family and friends may visit from 4-8 pm Thursday, April 19th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, April 20th at River Oaks Community Church, Goshen where visitation will be an hour prior. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
