Bruce C. Troup

Bruce C. Troup, 55 of Elkhart passed away May 27, 2012 in the emergency room of Elkhart General Hospital after a sudden illness.

He was born March 4, 1957 in Elkhart to Neil and Elizabeth (Morris) Troup and married Dani L. Darr on May 7, 1983 in Elkhart. His wife Dani survives with a son, Matthew (Kristin) Troup, a daughter, Taylor Troup, 2 grandchildren, Keagan and Kaylen Troup and a sister, Diana (Terry) Staley all of Elkhart; a step-brother Ken (Mary) Overton and a step-sister Regina (Abe) Mayo also survive. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Neil Troup and Elizabeth Overton and a brother, Kenneth Troup.

Bruce graduated from Concord High School and was a machinist for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 33 years. He loved hunting, fishing and his “little kids”.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where a memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday. Pastor Terry Staley, his brother-in-law will officiate.
