Buell L. Loucks, 78, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Hospice House of Elkhart. He was born Jan. 22, 1940 in Elkhart, IN to Adam Henry and Vera Agnes (Rogers) Loucks.
On Sep. 5, 1959 in Elkhart he married Patricia J. Marks who survives along with 2 sons: Darin (Lori) Loucks of Elkhart and Brian Loucks of South Bend; Grandchildren: Bradley, Miranda and Matthew Loucks; and a great-grandson, Danny Loucks. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Janet Grise of Elkhart, and his twin, Aurelia Nothstine of Granger. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timothy Allen Loucks.
Buell graduated from Elkhart High School in 1959. He attended First Baptist Church in Elkhart and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was employed at Adams & Westlake. He retired from Bayer Corp., Diagnostic Division.
During his lifetime, Buell loved the Lord and reading His word. He loved family, Christian friends, nature walks, bicycle rides and dogs.
Buell spent the last 3 years of his life as a quadriplegic-with his Lord at his side. That relationship will be with him-and his healed body- for eternity.
Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the 11 am service Saturday June 16th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home with Tony Harrington officiating. Private burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Elkhart.
