Carol Marie Nordstrom

Carol Marie Nordstrom, 73, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday June 16, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Carol was born on January 17, 1951 to Floyd and Frances Nordstrom in Phelps, WI.

Carol retired from Carpenter Company after 40+ years of service as a machinist. She loved shoes and shopping. She never missed a bargain, from garage sales, estate sales, tag sales and discounts at the local stores. Carol loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her children Mark Pendleton of Elkhart, IN., and Rhonda (Aaron) Fish of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Evan Woudstra and Braydon Stout; siblings Lea Ann “Annie” (Gary) White of Long Lake, WI., and Richard (Patti) Nordstrom of Iron River, MI and her dogs, Buster, Peanut and Chloe. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Frances Nordstrom; sister, Loretta Willison; granddaughter, Alyssa Pendleton; nephews, Randy Willison and Bobby Joe Nordstrom; and great-nephew Ty Nordstrom; brother-in-law Ronald Willison; paternal grandparents Walter and Irene Nordstrom; maternal grandparents Henry and Loretta O’Conner. 

In keeping with Carol’s wishes there will be a celebration of life service at 2:30Pm with a time to gathering from 2pm -2:30 pm on Saturday June 22, 2024 at Elkhart County Community Baptist Church, 23805 Sunnyside Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 where Pastor Ed Ritchie will officiate.
