Carrie J. Anton

Carrie J. Anton, 85, of Crystal lake, IL. formerly of Elkhart, passed away Saturday Jan. 31 at Alden Estates of Barrington, IL.
She was born Sep. 5, 1929 in Walker County, Alabama to John H. and Gertrude (Swafford) Hamilton. On March 7, 1951 she married Odis F. Anton who preceded her in death on March 7, 2012.

Surviving are a daughter Cathy Anton of Schaumburg, IL., a brother James A. Hamilton of Elkhart and a sister Anne (Hershel) Brown of Jasper, AL. She was preceded in death by a brother William R. Hamilton.
Carrie retired as an assistant manager at Georgie Boy Manufacturing after 12 years. She was a former member of Women of the Moose.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 pm Thursday Feb. 5th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where services will be held at 11 am Friday with Pastor Melissa Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
