Cartha Campbell

Cartha Campbell, 94, of Elkhart passed away Tuesday evening at Center for Hospice Care, South Bend.

She was born on February 11, 1923 in Morehouse, Missouri to William A. and Addie (Couch) Miller. She married Clifford Carlisle on March 29, 1941. He died Oct. 29, 1984. She then married Rollin Campbell on May 16, 1987. He died March 8, 2013.

Survivors include, one sister, Carolyn Miller of Sikeston, MO; 2 step-daughters, Janet Lamar of Goshen and Bonnie Ring of Casa Grande, AZ. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Roy, Marvin, Buck, Albert and Alburn Miller and 3 sisters, Dorothy Teel, Margaret Burlison and Glenda Causey.

Cartha was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. She worked for C.T.S. Corporation for almost 40 years, retiring in 1985.

Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, June 20th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where her funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Pastor Brian Whidden will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
