Cesar Antonio Aguilera

Cesar Antonio Aguilera, age 72, of Elkhart formerly of Honduras passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He was born on April 21, 1948 in Pespire, Choluteca, Honduras to Bonifacio Herrera and Maria E. Aguilera. He married Maria Isabel Cerrato.

Cesar enjoyed playing soccer and reading the Bible. He was a pastor for several years, where he showed the love of the Lord and helping others know of the love of God. In 2010 he became a member of Iglesia Sinai in Goshen.

Cesar is survived by his children, Sandra Isabel Aguilera, Marvin Antonio Aguilera, Diana Iveth Aguilera and Ligia Tatiana Aguilera; his grandchildren Bessy Aguilera, Marvin Aguilera, Davon Aguilera, Paola Aguilera, Mainor Aguilera, Sissy Aguilera, Krystal Aguilera, Aaron Aguilera and Christopher Aguilera as well as several brothers and sister. Cesar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his siblings.

Friends may with family from 3-7 pm on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Iglesia Sinai, 1213 East Lincoln Avenue, Goshen, IN 46528, where a celebration of life service for Cesar will be held at 7 pm.    Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Aguilera family.  Burial will take place in Honduras.
