Charles A. Cook, Jr.

Charles A. Cook, Jr, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday December 7, 2022 at his home. He was born October 11, 1950 in Kendallville, IN to Charles A. and Donna Cook. He married Gayle Smith on February 12, 1971 in Elkhart, IN.

Chuck graduated from Constantine High School. He began his career and retired from E.F.P. Corporation where he was a maintenance supervisor. In his youth he enjoyed going to classic car shows with his father and with his sons. He enjoyed anything on the water, from boating, skiing and fishing and he enjoyed roller skating. However, nothing was more soothing to Chuck then riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time in Florida with his family.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gayle; their children, Michael (Dawn)Cook of Elkhart, Charles A. Cook III of Elkhart, and Susan (Richard) Bryan of Jones, MI; his mom, Donna Cook of White Pigeon, MI; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Tom (JoEllen) Cook of Ft. Meyers, Fl., Christine Beachy of Goshen, Cathleen (Doug) Medford of White Pigeon, MI and David Cook of Bristol, IN. Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles A. Cook, Sr.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at Woodruff Cemetery in LaGrange County, IN.
