Charlotte L. Gillison

Charlotte L. Gillison, 78, of Elkhart, died at 8:20 am Jan. 1, 2011 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 8, 1932 in Charlotte, MI to Eldon and Elizabeth (Knight) Clark. Surviving are her children, Fran Bruce of Saginaw, MI, Deb Lowrance of Dyer, TN, Arthur and Robert Gillison of Elkhart, Penny Jerkes of Goshen, Peggy (Scott) Snider of New Paris, Ronald Gillison and Iren Gangwer of Elkhart, and William Gillison of Goshen; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 2 brothers, Robert Clark of Marcellus, MI and George Clark of Michigan; 2 sisters, Barbara Curtis of Flint, MI and Mary Ann of Florida. A son, Roger Gillison preceded in death.

Charlotte worked in production for Phillips Industries and the Kent Co. and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a member of the D.A.V. Auxillary.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Memorials may be given to American Heart Association.
