Charlotte Jean Hof

Charlotte Jean Hof, 85, of Elkhart, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 25, 2011 at 12:01 am at Riverside Village in Elkhart. She was born March 22, 1926 in Rushville, IN to Kenneth R. and Florence R. (Weevie) Day. On July 3, 1946 she married Leo C.J. Hof. He died September 2, 1993.
She is survived by 3 sons and 5 daughters, including Karen (Jim) Hylton of Elkhart; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, a brother and 3 sisters.
Mrs. Hof was a retired machinist and a member of Villa Baptist Church in Indianapolis and Calvary Baptist Church in Elkhart.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Conkle Funeral Home, 4925 W. 16th St., Speedway, IN where services will be Wednesday at 12 pm. Rev. Tim Hewitt will officiate. Burial will be at Floral Park in Indianapolis.
