Charolette M. Garl

Charolette M. Garl, 89 of Elkhart, IN. passed away April 11, 2014 at Greenleaf Living Center. She was born on Sept. 8, 1924 in Ontario, IN. to Frank B. and Clara (Zimmerman) Plummer. She married Thomas E. Garl on July 2, 1947 in Elkhart.

He survives along with two sons, Terry (Kathlyn) of Osceola, IN. and Tim (Jennifer) of Bloomington, IN., a daughter, Penny (Larry) Groth of South Bend, IN., seven granddaughters, Lauren Groth, Lindsey (Chris) Roache, Kelly, Amy, Emily, Meg and Haley Garl. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Plummer Jr., sisters Ethel Wolf, Ilo Roberts-Stichel and Dorthy McCloud.Charolette worked as an office manager for many years at Anderson Silverplate in Elkhart. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, DAR and Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to read, quilt and research genealogy.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am. Monday, April 14th at Augustana Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven Reshan officiating.
