Chester Balcom

Chester Arthur Balcom, 81 of White Pigeon, MI passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Chester was born on August 11, 1943 to William and Ruth (Selig) Balcom in Muskegon, MI.Chester graduated from Berrien Springs High School and began his career as a purchasing agent for the RV industry in Elkhart, Indiana. He met the love of his life, Vickie (DeFreese). They married in 1965 and had two wonderful children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.He absolutely loved family time, watching his grandchildren play sports, being on the lake, fishing, hunting and doing woodwork. Chester was also a member of the Cass County Conservation Club. Chester is survived by his, son Jeff (Jill) Balcom of White Pigeon, MI., daughter Brooke (Tony) Dombrowski of Twin Lake, MI., grandchildren Morgan Balcom, Zack (Kali) Dombrowski, Logan Balcom, Haylee (Branson) Salyer, Sydney Balcom, Charlee Balcom, great grandchildren Anadalyn Dombrowski, Taydein Dombrowski and Alerie Balcom, sister Renae (Dan) Robertson of Hesperia, MI., and brothers Dan Balcom and Rick Balcom both of Muskegon, Michigan. Chester is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Balcom, his wife Vickie Balcom; siblings, William Balcom, Larry Balcom and Helen Balcom.Chester and Vickie will be laid to rest at Shavehead Cemetery, services will be private.
