Christine A. Fortino

Christine Ann “Chrissy” Fortino, 48 of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at her home.

She was born March 16, 1965 in South Bend to George A. and Sandra L. (Warner) Fortino. Surviving are her parents, George and Sandy Fortino of Elkhart, a sister, Jeanne Sawyer of Elkhart, a brother, Mark Kemble of New Buffalo, MI, a nephew Ross Sawyer of Ft. Wayne and a niece, Alexandra Sawyer of Indianapolis.

Chrissy graduated from Concord High School in 1983 and attended Ball State University. She had worked as an office manager for manufacturing companies. She was an outgoing, active, quick-witted person with many friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center, Elkhart where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:45pm Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Bristol with visitation a half hour prior. Fr. Robert Van Kempen will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
