Christopher R. Coddens

Christopher R. Coddens, 36, of Cassopolis, Mich, died Wednesday morning, December 28, 2016. He was born January 14, 1980 in Elkhart, IN to Robert E. Coddens and Victoria (Kizinski). He married Kandace Andersen in April of 2015 in Elkhart. She survives along with a daughter, Olivia Coddens; step-children, Alexis and Ethan Jackson all at home; 2 sisters, Amy (Andy) Pavnica) Coddens-Pavnica of Granger and Laura (Dr. Drew) Rummel of Cadillac, MI; 1 brother, Casey Coddens of Bristol; Father and Step-mother, Robert and Shannon Coddens of Bristol and Mother and Step-father, Victoria and Bill Gage of New Paris and his grandmother, Gay Maxine Coddens of Elkhart.

Chris graduated in 1998 from Elkhart Central High School and was a Millwright at J and D Millwright Co. in White Pigeon, MI and formerly worked as a mechanic for Laurel Enterprises. He enjoyed working on his dune buggy. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and camping.

A service remembering Chris will be held at noon Monday, Jan. 2nd at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where family and friends may visit an hour prior.
