Connie Lou Sura

Connie Lou Sura, 68 of Elkhart, IN. died April 30, 2011 at 2 P.M. at home. She was born on September 4, 1942 in Lake City, Michigan to Wayne and Berniece (Bingaman) Wiggins. She married Pete Sura on May 19, 1984 in Reno, Nevada.

He survives along with three daughters; Connie Lou Fuller, Tammy Lynn Birtch and Elizabeth Ann Snavely, 8 Grandchildren; Mark R., Sgt. Steven (Eliza) and Christy LaVigne, Thomas, Thor and Thunder Olsen, Wendy Siciliano and Dartanya Martin, 8 Great Grandchildren; Nevaeh Olsen, Wyatt Cary, Hailey, Taylor, Jordan and Brady LaVigne and Austin and Brock Gest, 4 Sisters; Jean (David) Hunt, Jeri (Don) Alabaugh, Pam (Brad) McIntire and Carla (Clyde) Riley and 3 brothers; Dennis Garman, Steve Acord and Randy Acord, several nieces and nephews and her cat, K.D. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Acord; 3 grandchildren, Leroy and Athena and Tela.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, Indiana where services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday with Pastor Fred Stayton of Bristol United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley, Osceola, Indiana.

Mrs. Sura was a homemaker. She was a member of the Elkhart Eagles Fraternity. She loved to read her Bible, Crochet, listen to the Evangelist Joyce Meyer on television and especially loved spending time with her family.
