D. Juanita Olinghouse

D. Juanita Olinghouse, 90, of Goshen, died at 1:25 pm Jan. 1, 2011 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Jan. 13, 1920 in Elkhart to Cecil and Dorcas (Dyer) Wine and married Lloyd V. Olinghouse on March 19, 1943 in Elkhart. He died June 2, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Lucille D. Olinghouse of Goshen, 3 sons, Lloyd V. Olinghouse II, Melvin (Rene) Olinghouse of Goshen and Gerald (Sue) Olinghouse of Westfield, IN; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Emerson, Wilbert “Bill”, Robert “Bob” and Charles “Charlie” Wine and a sister, Vivian Calkins.

Mrs. Olinghouse was a homemaker and attended Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church in Goshen. She loved to garden, sew and crochet.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where services will be held at 1 pm Thursday. Reverend Jack McGlasson will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
