Daimon J. Leader

Daimon J. Leader was born September 8, 1993 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN to Dr. Mervin and Fearne Leader.

Daimon attended Elkhart Community Schools’ Eastwood Elementary, Northside Middle, and graduated in the class of 2012 at Central High School.

He will forever be in our hearts and we will always remember his infectious smile. Daimon had a very strong resilience and he danced to the beat of his own drum. He had a very inquisitive mind and developed a very commendable talent in photography of which all enjoyed. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast with a particular passion for muscle bikes. Although his time on earth was short-lived, Daimon was very enthusiastic about life and was extremely optimistic about the prospects for the future.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Fearne Linton Leader of Elkhart, IN; father, Dr. Mervin N. Leader of Fort Smith, AR; brother, Jermaine Leader of Bronx, NY, sister, Sabrina Leader of Elkhart; brother, Tayshaun Leader of Greenwood, AR; maternal Grandmother, Pearl (Ronald) Francis of Jamaica; step grandmother, Pinky Harris of Jamaica; nephew, Jordan C. Leader with whom he had a special bond; four Aunts, Angela (Edwin) Byron of Ocala, FL, Leona (Kenny)Tota of Atlanta, GA, Charlene Harris of Canada, and Hoplyn Harris of Jamaica; three uncles, Andrew Francis and Ainsworth (Melissa)Harris, both of VA, and Deswick Harris of Jamaica; his love interest of six years, Kelsi Gillespie, and her family particularly her parents, Kami W. Howard and Aaron Gillespie; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Alphaeus and Brunilda Leader of St. Kitts, maternal grandfather, Sewell Harris of Jamaica.

Services will be Friday, April 22nd with visitation from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, and a Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart.

Memorials for Daimon may be given to Help Hope Live Foundation in honor of Patrice Penny Henderson, 2 Radnor Corporate Center, 100 Matsonford Road, Suite 100, Radnor, PA 19087.
