Dale D. Martin

Dale D. Martin, 86 of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 12, 1926 in Elkhart to Charles and Lyda (Tuttle) Martin. He married Doris “Tiny” Wiedenhoft in July of 1949. She died March 1, 1973. He then married Vonda L. Martin on June 8, 1991. She survives along with 3 children, Gloria (Scott) Cook of Spring, TX, Ginny (Pete) Shaw of Elkhart and David (Darlene) Martin of Lafayette, IN; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leo Martin and 2 sisters, Gloria Haines-Woods and Virginia Martin.

Dale was a retired auto dealer in Elkhart and enjoyed vintage cars and was a former member of the Michiana Classic Chevy Club.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Sept. 14th at 11 am at Prairie Street Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
