Daniel Finley Galbreth, 67, of Union, MI died at 11:25 am October 22, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 15, 1943 in Elkhart to John Edward and Eleonore (Marois) Galbreth. Surviving are his sister, Lorraine Bement of Vandalia, MI and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, Richard, and Joseph Galbreth, his parents, and his longtime companion, Helen Balcom.
Dan was the owner of Western Prime Meat in Elkhart, founder of Finley Excavating Co., in Union, and purchased Camp Bellowood in Union, MI from the Elkhart Y.M.C.A. and operated it until his death.
Friends may call 2 hours prior to the 1 pm funeral service on Monday at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Reverend Larry Kurtz will officiate. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.
