Denice Yvonne Russell

Denice Yvonne Russell, 63 of Elkhart, passed away May 27, 2017 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born Oct. 31, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to Theodore Ralph and Mary Lou (Gerspacher) Russell.

Surviving are a son, Brian Scott Higgins; 5 sisters, Jeanne Belote of Elkhart, Michelle Boniella and Julie Sostrom both of Beavercreek, OH and Theresa Russell and Tama Russell both of Dayton, OH and 3 brothers, Theodore Russell of Elkhart, Michael Russell of Dayton, OH and Timothy Russell of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Denice was a cosmetologist for various department stores and later worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in the title dept. all in Phoenix, AZ. She was a kidney recipient and was selected to ride on the Donate Life float in the Rose Bowl Parade.

Cremation will take place and her remains will be laid to rest in Phoenix, AZ.

Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice Care or Donate Life America. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
