Dennis M. Lambo, 64, of Elkhart, passed away on November 15, 2011 at 6:30 am at home with his family by his side. He was born to Michael and Norma ((Haven) Lambo on January 31, 1947 in Elkhart. They preceded him in death. Survivors include Karen Lambo, his wife of 42 years and 2 daughters Renee (J. Scott) Lambo-Barnes and Regina (Scott) Swartz, both of Colorado; as well as his granddaughters Abby and Sierra, and his grandson Dario.
Mr. Lambo served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired Elkhart City fireman. For the past 20 years, he has continued to operate his father’s boiler business, Hoosier Boiler Shop of Elkhart. Dennis was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Elkhart. His greatest joy was family and friends. He enjoyed many endeavors through the years, most recently, hunting, civil war history and model trains.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Saturday at St. Thomas Church, with Father Bill Sullivan officiating.
