Dennis L. Rogers

Dennis Lee Rogers, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday May 24th at home. He was born Oct. 16, 1948 in Michigan City, Indiana to Junior L. and Evelyn (Medford) Rogers. He married Jenny V. Freeze on Feb. 28, 1969 in Elkhart. She survives with a son, Thomas (Kim Buckley) Rogers of Constantine, MI, a daughter, Denise (Lee Meyers) Rogers of Elkhart; 4 grandchildren, Cody and Hope Rogers and Ali and Dana Meyers; a great-granddaughter, Emma Rogers; a brother, Ronnie (Sandy Horvath) Rogers of Edwardsburg, MI, a sister, Tammy (Robert) Marcom of Manchester, TN, his mother, Evelyn Rogers of Manchester, TN and his grand dog, Louie. He was preceded in death by his father.

Dennis was co-owner with his brother Ronnie of Rogers Truck Service. He was an avid bass fisherman and quail hunter.

Visitation for Dennis will be from 3-7 pm Friday, May 26th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where a service honoring Dennis will be at 11 am Saturday May 27th. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
